08. A Place You’ve Traveled To

October 20th, 2011 | 30 days, Personal, Photo, Thoughts and opinions | 1 Comment

This one is also a bit hard. I’ve been travelling to so many places -all over Europe, to lots of different countries.

Well, my favourite country so far has to be Denmark. I’m a total Denmark freak, and going to Denmark makes me happy. The Danish countryside is one of the most beautiful countrysides I’ve ever seen. I can’t really describe it, it’s like a relaxing, yet inspiring atmosphere that I haven’t seen any other place. It’s so quiet and organised compared to the Norwegian countryside which is full of valleys. I’m basically in love with the Danish countryside landscape.

06. A Picture of Something That Makes You Happy

This picture was taken in Northern Jutland, Denmark, and Denmark makes me happy! I’m a huge Denmark-lover, and my favourite region is surprisingly enough Northern Jutland!

01. Introduce, Recent Picture, and 15 Interesting Facts

October 13th, 2011 | 30 days, Personal, Photo | 0 Comments

Well, let’s get started!

Här är jag! Picture taken with my webcam today.

  1. I speak Norwegian, English, French and some Swedish.
  2. I like to compare the temperature in Norway with what it’s like living in a freezer.
  3. If you want to make a movie that will scare me, try to include bot sharks and dolls. I rarely get scared.
  4. My favourite TV-channel is TV4 Fakta. It’s full of documentaries about crime and hospital-related stuff.
  5. Some genres I like: Industrial, J-pop, J-rock, Japanese hip hop, psytrance, trance, metal, house, folktronica, eurodance, 80′s-2000′s pop, 17th of May related songs and English-speaking hip hop older than 5 years.
  6. I’m a proud IB student in high school.
  7. I like drawing noses.
  8. I’ve coloured my hair once, and I did it on board on a boat. Back pain!!
  9. I was in a car/bus crash when I was in Scotland. My friends, family and I were sitting in a bus when a Finnish man in a rented car met us in an intersection. It wasn’t that dramatic, but the point was that the man was looking in the wrong direction (i.e. the direction we are supposed to look in Norway and Finland)
  10. Out of all the countries I’ve been to, Denmark is my favourite.
  11. The only thing I find annoying about May is when I hear some loud music, and I’m hoping that it’ll be a “Russebuss“, and I can’t see the bus.
  12. I don’t know what this fact is supposed to mean.
  13. I’m trying to write in Swedish when I remember to do so. Jag försöker att skriva på svenska når jag minns att göra det. That’s why the sentence underneath the picture is what it is.
  14. I’ve been outside Europe 1,5 times. Tunisia and Tenerife (It is outside Europe, but it belongs to Spain, so I like to count this as 0,5 of the times I’ve outside Europe).
  15. I’m pretty sure I’m going to study either graphic design or Japanese.

The last pictures from Denmark

Wall
We visited a village I have been in many times before as well, and this wall is a part of a church that they have taken down large pieces from. It stands on a cliff wich gradually falls down, and they believe that it has been another village where the ocean is today.

Well, these pictures are the last ones from Denmark. I came home yesterday, after about 7 hours by car and 2 hours  by boat, as well as visiting three countries (Denmark, Sweden and Norway).

Q: What’s your record when it comes to visiting a certain number of countries in less than 12 hours (you need to be able to take a break where you for example eat or just relax. If you travel by plane, it counts when you visit the country’s airport)?

Two horses

I saw these horses while visiting an about 5000 year-old ruin.Horses

The pictures were taken while the horses were fed. When one got some food, the other one tried to steal some of it from the other one’s mouth.

Beaches -Danish style

I have fallen in love with Syddjurs! Everything is so beautiful, stunning and (I don’t have words to describe it). It’s just incredible beautiful.

Danish road signs
The signs says that this is a private road and that access by unauthorized persons is discouraged.

The last one says that the speed limit is 20 kilometres per hour, but I guess you understood that.

Boats and wind

Today, I’m finally at the destination where my family and I are going to spend our holidays. Last night I was in Gothenburg. I had a great time, and it was fun to see something I hadn’t seen in many years. I decided also that I wanted to start reading something in Swedish, so we bought two Swedish novels.

However, I’m not in Sweden anymore. If you have had a look at what ferry trips Stena Line offers from Gothenburg, you might have heard about the one to Frederikshavn. Yes, I’m in Denmark! In the Southern Djursland area, to be more precise.

It did rain today as well, but not at much as it did yesterday. It blew more today. I could see huge waves inside the Gothernburg harbour area, and when we were at  the sea, it was almost impossible to do something that don’t involve chairs or something to hold on to.

So, it’s summer

June 18th, 2010 | Personal | 1 Comment

Yesterday was my last day at secondary school. The whole graduation ceremony went fine. Some received their diploma with the wrong hand (it’s possible), but luckily I didn’t. The whole ceremony, with entertainment included, lasted for about two hours. After the ceremony, we went to a classroom and celebrated with old pictures, food and speeches. I ate pasta salad and cake.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed by my parents to bring my dSLR, and my other digital camera didn’t have a loaded battery, so I wasn’t able to take any pictures. Anyway; the room was decorated very nicely, you were almost not able to tell it was a classroom.

It is still werid. All those people were amazing, and I do not even know if I will see all of them ever again.

On the other hand; I think this summer will be special. I am going to meet many of my Norwegian relatives (Honestly, I did almost not even know I had some. I’m only 1/4 Norwegian). I will also travel to a country I haven’t been to in 12 years (when I was around 4 years old). I will also travel to Denmark (which I have been to quite many times) and another place in Norway.

Flowers means summer to me. I hope these images will  give you that “summer feeling” as well.
