Nakholmen

April 25th, 2011 | Photo | 0 Comments

Today, we went to Nakholmen, an island within the Oslo Fjord area. It’s just a 20-minute trip from Vippetangen using a public transport boat. The island itself was such a beautiful place, and the birds were really fun to watch. Even though the island is “crowded” and full of small red, yellow and blue cabins, there is a nature reserve on the island as well. The reserve is the home for many birds and some plants. I brought my camera and photographed some pictures.

Quick notice: I decided to experiment with grey-scale photography this time, if you were wondering. I don’t do it that often, so I thought it was worth a try.

Beaches -Danish style

I have fallen in love with Syddjurs! Everything is so beautiful, stunning and (I don’t have words to describe it). It’s just incredible beautiful.

Danish road signs
The signs says that this is a private road and that access by unauthorized persons is discouraged.

The last one says that the speed limit is 20 kilometres per hour, but I guess you understood that.

Rose illustration

Yesterday I wanted to give myself a little challenge, so I decided to draw a flower, in only one hour.

rose drawing
This is the result.

The drawing was made in Photoshop Elements 7, and I’m quite happy with the result. I have drawn flowers before, but they were drawn the traditional way. The background was made using the brush tool and the liquify tool, so I didn’t use that much time on it.

Actually, I used most of my time on the flower itself. However, the whole hour included the whole process, from sketch  to finished product.

Q: Do you like it?

The nature in a microscope

I love photographing the nature! It contains a huge amount of hidden treasures  that needs to be shown.

These pictures where all taken in Hvaler, Østfold, Norway.  (Hvaler is an island municipality in the southern parts of Norway, and it is also close to the Swedish border, if you didn’t know)

To me, it looks like dried leaves of some kind, but I do not know what it is.

I went out and took some pictures on a path not that far away from my house. This is the result. Flower

Here is a picture of a thistel in Norway. They are a lot smaller than the Greek ones I showed you a few days ago.

My trip to Crete -the pictures

June 28th, 2010 | Photo | 3 Comments

Here are a few photos from my trip to Crete.

Ice cream and cake from Greece
I loved this cake, but I don’t remember the name of it…

Greek water pipes
My dad and I went on a little photo trip behind the hotel when we found this. It’s not an artwork, it is a few water pipes.

Palm trees
Palm trees. Something you often see in and around tourist areas in Southern Europe.

thistle
A flower/thistle-thing next to one of the roads in the Cretan mountains. I loved the colours on these thistles, so I had to take a picture!

Pier in Paleohora
A pier in the Southern Crete village Paleohora. With mountains in tha background.

greek food
Greek food. Again, i don’t know what it’s called.

Dramatic sunset
Dramatic sunset.

Well, I might post more pictures later, because I took 1085 pictures at this trip. I could add more to this post, but then this post would  become way too long.
Anyway, I hope you like these pictures!
