8 things about Copenhagen

October 8th, 2011 | Personal, Thoughts and opinions | 1 Comment

I’m in Copenhagen at the moment, and I’ve decided to share 8  things I’ve thought about when it comes to Copenhagen (as someone from Oslo).

  1. Only buses and taxis. I haven’t seen any trams, nor metros.
  2. Shopping area. It’s so much larger than the one in Oslo.
  3. Bike oceans. This is insane. Seriously. I’ve never seen that many bikes in my entire life. And the bikes are different from the ones in Oslo.
  4. Christiania. I visited that place yesterday. It’s not as scary as some places in Oslo, but it’s more colourful and a bit freakier.
  5. Ambulances. I hear sirens all the time -almost. Weird…
  6. Decoration and architecture. This is awesome. It looks way prettier and more interesting than in Oslo.
  7. Size. Oslo is a town. Copenhagen is a city. No doubt about that.
  8. Road network. Like a big city. Oslo’s network is smaller, and we don’t have as many lanes… In Copenhagen, 3-4 lanes++ is more common than in Oslo.

Plant

Today I was at a birthday party celebrating my cousin. He turned 13 a few days ago and has started in middle school. This plant was photographed next to the place where the party was held.

By the way, on Monday I’m going to start on Continuational School! I’m so excited! I think it will be cool to finally get to know people from other parts of the town.

Q: Have you started  on Continuational School yet? Or: have you already finished it?
